DON'T SAY GOODBYE TO ME NOT YET

Each day that passed, the more I knew,
About the way our family grew,
And now, that you have passed away,
I find I miss you more each day.
Those special chats, our cries, our laughs
Cannot remain just in the past,
And now, each day that comes is new,
So, when I smile, I think of you.
Our friendship was for many years,
But now, my eyes are ful of tears,
And I know, up there, you're crying too,
For we both wish I was there with you.
I miss your laugh, and I miss your smile,
My friend, I'll miss you for a while,
But soon, we'll be together again,
Because nothing can stop us from being friends.
Each time I cry, I cry for you,
(Though, I know you wouldn't want me to),
And I know, deep down, in my heart of hearts,
That we're just 'on hold'. We'll never part

The Day God Called You Home

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face

He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again

He saw that the road was getting rough
And the hills are hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, “Peace be thine”

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
